PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Oral presentations

Presentation equipment

Presenters are requested to use the laptops provided by the organizers. Using your own computer is not allowed. Session rooms will be equipped with a laptop running Microsoft Office for Windows and the most common codecs. The only presentation software supported will be Microsoft PowerPoint for Windows (.PPTX). Presenter view will be available.

Remote participation

ECA 2026 is an in-person meeting. Live streaming and remote presentations will not be available.

Presentation Upload

Please bring your presentation on a virus-free USB flash drive or external hard drive. Presentations must be uploaded and checked in the session room before the session starts. Technicians will verify compatibility. If a virus is detected, the presentation cannot be accepted. Purging and cleaning of the infected files will not be performed.

Privacy

Please ensure that your presentation does not include any sensitive or personal data, such as patient information or identifiable images. Presentations remain the property of the presenters. The organisers will not distribute presentation files to third parties. All uploaded presentations will be permanently deleted from the AV provider's systems after the congress.

  • The presentation format is 16:9 widescreen. The projection system supports a maximum resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels (Full HD).

  • Images should preferably be inserted in .jpg or .png format.
  • If your presentation contains videos or audio, please embed the media files in your PowerPoint presentation whenever possible. If embedding is not possible, ensure that all linked media files are stored in the same folder as the presentation.
  • Please review your presentation before arriving at the congress, especially if it contains videos, animations or audio.
  • To avoid compatibility issues, please save your presentation in the latest .pptx format.

Poster information

Poster format

The poster should consist of a single printed page in portrait orientation. Please note: Printing services will not be available at the congress venue. Traditional poster boards will not be used. Posters will be displayed using a top-mounted aluminium poster rail system. To ensure the best presentation, authors are encouraged to print their posters on heavier paper (200 g/m² or higher) or to use fabric printing.

The maximum poster size is 80 cm (width) × 120 cm (height).

Please note the following requirements:

  • Leave a 3 cm blank margin at the top of the poster for mounting.
  • The title, authors and affiliations should appear at the top of the poster exactly as submitted in the abstract.
  • It’s recommended to bring bottom support rails to keep the poster flat during display.

Poster Display Schedule

Posters will be displayed in two shifts throughout the congress in the Poster Gallery:

  • Shift 1: From Day 1 (including the Welcome Reception) until the end of the morning coffee break on Day 2
  • Shift 2: From the lunch break on Day 2 until the end of the congress

The poster schedule, including your assigned poster number and display shift, will be sent to presenting authors in August. Please display your poster only at the assigned poster location. The organisers cannot accept responsibility for posters that are not removed at the end of the assigned display period.

Authors are encouraged to be present at their posters during the scheduled coffee breaks to discuss their work with delegates.

Poster in the Congress App (Optional)

Presenting authors have the option to upload a PDF version of their printed poster to the congress app. The uploaded PDF should be the same file as the printed poster.

Please note the following:

  • Format: PDF
  • Maximum file size: 5 MB
  • The upload link and instructions will be sent to presenting authors before the congress.
  • If your PDF file exceeds the maximum file size, you can reduce it using a free online PDF compression tool, such as iLovePDF.
  • Interactive content, including videos, animations and clickable hyperlinks, will not function in the PDF displayed in the app.
  • Posters will be viewed primarily on mobile devices. Although the printed poster can be uploaded without modification, authors may wish to ensure that text remains as legible as possible when viewed on smaller screens.
  • Congress participants will be able to send comments directly to the author.
